Terms of Service

By accessing or using RuntimeForce ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

RuntimeForce is a local-first AI orchestration platform consisting of:

• A local client application that runs on your machine and provides the IDE, terminal, and file system interface
• An optional cloud service that provides authentication, subscription management, and a stateless proxy to LLM providers

The local client is open-core software available on GitHub. The cloud service is a paid SaaS offering.

2. Account Registration

You may use the local client without an account. Cloud features require registration with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RuntimeForce to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or token limits
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service
• Use the Service to develop weapons, conduct surveillance, or other harmful purposes

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 Free Tier

The Free tier is provided at no cost. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free features with 30 days notice.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

• Billing is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• Prices are listed in USD and may include applicable taxes
• You may cancel at any time from your dashboard

4.3 Token Limits

Paid plans include a monthly token allowance. When exceeded, AI proxy calls will be blocked until:

• The next billing cycle begins, or
• You purchase a token add-on package

5. Your Data and Code

You retain all rights to your code, files, and data. RuntimeForce does not claim any ownership. Our architecture ensures:

• Your code never leaves your machine unless you explicitly use the cloud AI proxy
• When using the proxy, we act as a stateless forwarder and do not store prompts or responses
• SSH credentials and API keys are encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM

6. Third-Party Services

RuntimeForce integrates with third-party services (GitHub, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party actions or outages.

7. Intellectual Property

• RuntimeForce software, branding, and documentation are owned by us
• The open-core components are licensed under MIT/Apache 2.0
• You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the proprietary components

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing all code and commands before execution.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RUNTIMEFORCE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice when possible. Upon termination:

• Your right to use paid features ends immediately
• We retain billing records per tax law
• Your local data remains on your machine

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia (the country), without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Tbilisi.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice at least 30 days in advance. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
