Refund Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026 · Fair refund terms for all customers

At RuntimeForce, we want you to be satisfied with your subscription. This policy explains when and how you can request a refund.

1. General Refund Principles

  • All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Processing time: 5–10 business days depending on your bank
  • Refund requests must be submitted within the windows described below

2. Subscription Refunds

2.1 First-Time Subscribers (14-Day Window)

If you are subscribing to RuntimeForce for the first time (Pro, Studio, or Enterprise), you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase, no questions asked.

To qualify:

  • The request must be within 14 days of the original charge
  • You must not have previously received a refund from RuntimeForce
  • Your account will be downgraded to the Free tier

2.2 Renewal Refunds (7-Day Window)

For automatic subscription renewals, you may request a refund within 7 days of the renewal charge if you have not used Pro/Studio/Enterprise features during that billing period.

2.3 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions may be refunded on a pro-rata basis within the first 30 days, minus one month of service.

3. Token Add-Ons

One-time token add-on purchases are generally non-refundable once tokens have been credited to your account.

Exceptions may be made if:

  • The tokens were never used, and
  • The request is made within 7 days of purchase

4. Non-Refundable Items

  • Free tier usage (no payment involved)
  • Charges older than 14 days (first purchase) or 7 days (renewals)
  • Accounts that violated our Terms of Service
  • Enterprise custom contracts (governed by separate agreement)

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email billing@runtimeforce.dev from the email address associated with your account
  2. Include your account email and the date of the charge
  3. Briefly describe the reason for the refund request

We will respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed via Paddle within 3 business days.

6. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund past charges. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard.

Refund returns money from a past charge. Subject to the time windows above.

7. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks filed without first requesting a refund may result in account termination and a ban from future purchases.

8. Regional Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws (including EU Consumer Rights Directive, UK Consumer Rights Act, Australian Consumer Law, or similar). Where local law provides greater refund rights, those rights prevail.

9. Policy Changes

We may update this policy. Changes apply to purchases made after the effective date. We will announce material changes via email at least 30 days in advance.
